Senior Thesis

Senior Thesis | Fall 2019 - Spring 2020

This Interior Design thesis project was conducted over two full semesters. It required the use of all knowledge gained over the past three years. These skills include but are not limited to: written communication, sketching, code use, design development, research, space planting, 3D modeling, presentation skills, construction documentation development, and finish selection. You can view the research paper, design development poster, and the PowerPoint presentation on its own or with audio to the right or a simple summary of each phase below.

Phase One | Fall 2019

During phase one the thesis topic was developed and built upon up to the conceptual phase. During this time research was conducted and the topic of education for children that use cochlear implants was created. Developing the foundation to create a space where the users could find and build their own community.

Phase Two | Spring 2020
​

This is the final development of Reverb. Reverb is an elementary school for children with cochlear implants. With the goal to bridge the gap between the deaf and hearing communities within an interior environment. This phase consisted of creating the 3D renderings of over 20,000 sf on Revit. It also entailed creating and presenting a PowerPoint overview of materials and design elements that can all be reviewed above.
